On September 19, a transaction was recorded in which the holder withdrew more than 616 bitcoins that had been stored in his wallet since 2012. According to the Blockchair service, the wallet’s owner bought the cryptocurrency nine years ago for a total of $8,100 (about $13 per coin). At the time of the transfer, the value of the bitcoins stored for nine years exceeded $29.5 million (an increase of almost 3,600 times). The transaction fee was $0.48.
In July, bitcoins that had been stored at the same address for more than nine years were moved. Two transactions were recorded for the transfer of 740 bitcoins stored in the same wallet since May 2012. Nine years ago, the value of these coins was $3.7 thousand ($5 per BTC), while at the time of the transaction – $26.1 million. 9 years the value of digital coins has increased by 7,000 times.
